Brendan Mitchell is a third-year PhD candidate in Bioengineering at the UC Berkeley–UCSF Joint Graduate Program. He conducts his research in Dr. Duygu Tosun-Turgut’s lab, with co-mentorship from Dr. Marina Sirota. His work focuses on the intersection of biomedical data science and translational research.
In recognition of his academic achievements, Brendan was awarded the National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship, which supports his graduate studies and thesis-related research.
Brendan's academic journey has been shaped by his mentors at UC Riverside, the National Institute on Aging, and UC Berkeley–UCSF, who have provided guidance and support throughout his career.
