Jiaxiuxiu Zhang, MS, is a Neuroimaging Data Analyst at the UCSF Memory and Aging Center, where she works in the RabLab. She earned her master's degree in Biomedical Imaging from the University of California, San Francisco. Her research focuses on processing and analyzing amyloid and tau PET imaging data to advance the understanding of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.
During her graduate studies, Jiaxiuxiu conducted research on pain anticipation in patients with chronic low back pain, utilizing fMRI BOLD contrast to identify imaging biomarkers. Her thesis, titled "Decoding Pain Anticipation Imaging Biomarkers using fMRI BOLD Contrast in Patients with cLBP," explored the neural mechanisms underlying pain perception and anticipation.
In her free time, Jiaxiuxiu enjoys yoga, running, rock climbing, and spending time with her cat, Sesame.
